Privacy

The short version

Everything spiritual stays on your phone. Nothing else about that is negotiable.

What you read, when you read it, your prayers, your streak, which apps you chose to block, and your Bible reading position all live only on your device. We built it that way on purpose, and we do not want it any other way. None of it is sent to us. None of it is sent to anyone.

What never leaves your phone

• What you read in the Bible, and when
• Your prayers, your prayer timers, and your prayer history
• Your streak and your local history
• Which apps you picked to block, and your block schedule, using Apple's own Screen Time and Family Controls system on your device. Apple's own selection token never leaves your phone either; we never see the names of the apps you picked, only that a block is active
• Your Bible reading position, your typography, and your appearance settings

What we do see, and exactly why

The free core of Spiritualrot needs no account, no internet connection, and no server at all. A small server exists only for the parts of the app that are shared between people or that involve money. Here is the complete list of what reaches it:

• If you share a card or a cycle invite with someone, the card's contents travel only inside the link you choose to share, through the app you pick to send it in. We do not see it, read it, or store it. The web page that link opens to shows nothing from it either.
• If you report a card someone sent you, we receive the card's id, its catalog contents, and the reason you typed. No account and no other identity is attached to that report.
• If you partner with Spiritualrot through a paid subscription, Apple's own payment system tells our small server, spiritualrot-api.fly.dev, an anonymous subscriber id and the event that happened (started, renewed, canceled, refunded). We never see your name, your email address, or your card number. Apple handles all of that, under Apple's own privacy terms.
• If you sign in with Apple for a shared or social feature, Apple gives us the anonymous, app-specific identifier Apple generates for that sign-in, and, only if you choose to share it, the name you picked to show other people in that feature. We do not receive your real Apple ID, your email address, or your password; Apple's Sign in with Apple system handles authentication end to end.
• If a team or shared feature is built on Apple's iCloud, that data is stored inside your own iCloud account, under Apple's privacy terms, not on a server we run.
• Nothing else. We run no advertising network. We run no analytics pipeline today. If that ever changes, this page changes first, before any code that would make it true ships.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes everything spiritual instantly, because none of it ever left your phone. For anything that does touch our server, meaning your subscription history or anything social, see the account deletion page.

Children

Spiritualrot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13. Some shared features that are still being built are meant for a supervised group, like a family or a church small group, and carry their own age rules and parental approval steps, described where those features ship.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. We do not backdate a change to make it look like it was always true.
