Using the app

Core Scripture, prayer, study, and the app-blocking shield are provided at no charge, for everyone, with no account required. Spiritualrot does not sell your attention to advertisers. Optional Partner subscriptions provide cosmetic items and support ongoing software work. It works fully on your device with no internet connection. You must be old enough to install and use apps under Apple's own rules and your country's rules; if you are under 13, a parent or guardian should set the app up for you.

What Spiritualrot does and does not claim

Spiritualrot blocks selected apps until you complete a guided prayer and a Bible reading, then releases them for a while before locking again. It records only whether you completed that on your device; it cannot and does not measure sincerity, comprehension, holiness, or spiritual benefit. Nothing in the app is a substitute for a church, a pastor, or a Bible study with other people.

Partnering with Spiritualrot

Partnering is an optional, auto-renewing subscription. You can choose a weekly, monthly, or yearly length, and each length is billed at the price shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It buys cosmetic items only: looks, frames, card backs, and sounds. It never unlocks Scripture, prayer, study content, your streak, or your rank, and it never buys standing with God. Every core feature of the app stays free whether or not you partner.

The subscription renews automatically for another period of the same length, at the same price, unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it any time in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions; canceling stops the next renewal but does not refund the period you already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own refund policy; we cannot issue one directly, and Apple's App Store payment terms govern the purchase itself.

Community and shared features

Some parts of Spiritualrot let you share a card, an invite, or a team with other people. Be honest and be kind. Do not use these features to harass, impersonate, or share anything illegal or explicit. We can remove content or restrict access to shared features for a violation of this rule.

License

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Spiritualrot on any Apple device that you own or control, and as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules, including devices covered by Family Sharing. You may not copy, resell, rent, lease, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law says we cannot stop you. This agreement is between you and Spiritualrot's developer, not Apple, and the developer alone is responsible for the app and its content.

No warranty

Spiritualrot is provided as is. We work hard to keep it correct and honest, but we do not promise it will be free of bugs or available every moment. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet a warranty that the law does not let us disclaim, you may notify Apple, and Apple's only obligation is to refund the price you paid for the app, if any; Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim, loss, or damage from a failed warranty is our responsibility, not Apple's.

Product claims and legal claims

Spiritualrot's developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim from you or a third party about the app or your use of it, including a claim that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, a product liability claim, and a claim that the app infringes someone's intellectual property. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.

Export and legal use

You may not use or export the app in violation of United States export laws and regulations, and you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or listed as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third-party terms and Apple as a beneficiary

When you use the app you must still follow any applicable third-party agreement, such as your wireless carrier's terms, which must not be broken by your use of the app. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement, and once you accept these terms, Apple has the right, and you agree Apple has the right, to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary of it.

Age and consent

You must be old enough to accept these terms under the law where you live. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the app.

Your rights where you live

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer protection right you have under the law of the country where you live, including the European Union and the United Kingdom, that cannot be waived by agreement.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country where Spiritualrot's developer lives, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where the law of your own country gives you rights these terms cannot take away.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app grows. If a change is material, we will move the date at the top of this page and, where practical, say so inside the app.
